Toshiko Takaezu - The Earth In Bloom

Bronze Forms
Tall vessels surrounded by snow

Often tall, these graceful forms show their greenish patina against the winter

snow, and remind us of their clay predecessors. Stately and serene, they grow

as if one with the ground. When round, they may come as hanging discs in blue,

or as balls that catch the sun's warmth for the table guest's feet.
